About a month ago my wife found a very goo coat on eBay. The price was quite reasonable and seller had about 500 good responses. I’ve decided to purchase the coat. 

The seller closed his store just in one week after I made the purchase. I created a case in PayPal to return my money but the seller was smart enough to send me a package with tracking number. He provided this tracking number to PayPal so they didn’t make decision in my favor.

I was fine to get the coat for my wife so I waited for the package to arrive. In two weeks I got the package with the tracking number provided by seller, but it was too small for any coat. I opened it and found only a piece of foam:

It was smart of the seller. He sent me a piece of nothing with a tracking number and I had too prove PayPal the package was garbage. 

I created a new claim to PayPal and added a link to the same image you see above. PayPal decided the claim in my favor but they sent me the next message: 

We decided the claim for the following transaction in your favor:

Before we can issue you a refund, we need you to return the item to your seller following these steps:

1. Please ship the item in the shape you received it to the seller at the following address:

2. Provide us with online tracking number so that we can check and confirm the delivery. Ship the item using any shipping service that provides online tracking.

What a nice decision. I don’t have anything to send back. I can send the same piece of shit the seller sent my but I don’t want to pay even for this. I created a response to the message that there is nothing to send back and I can send the same package I got only if PayPal or the seller will pay for that. 

In two weeks PayPal finally returned my money. Thank you. I trust PayPal and will keep using the site but now I will be more careful.
